intensely researching about masters degrees as if i’m not only a high school junior

No way dude, planning is everything. Don’t stress it too much. Programs will change, and so will professors and requirements. Get very general ideas, cause your options…

Well then, a few words of advice for you that I wish I had learned much earlier:

1) Make connections with your teachers and keep in touch with them! You’ll need them for letters of recommendations later. I was super shy, and didn’t bond with any of them until like… My junior year of my bachelor’s degree *sigh*

2) Depending on the field you’re looking at (mine’s marine bio, so varies), you can skip your master’s and go directly into your PhD for a lot of schools.

3) Also depending on your field, you will need to take a standardized test between your bachelor’s and your graduate studies

4) Your bachelor’s degree requirements don’t always set you up for what your graduate degrees want. Mine certainly didn’t….

5) Extra curricular work doesn’t always include clubs. I’ve been doing lab research with fish for over two years now, and presenting it at national conferences. Look for opportunities like that! It helps with that whole networking stuff!

Hope that helps! GO YOU! :D

No way dude, planning is everything. Don’t stress it too much. Programs will change, and so will professors and requirements. Get very general ideas, cause your options will change, and so will your preferences. I’ll be applying for my PhD programs this fall and my opinions change a LOT. Good for you though! :3
